Life on the Marshes – A Special Heritage Event

Step back in time and discover the fascinating heritage of Norfolk’s marshes at the Wind Energy Museum, Repps with Bastwick.

Join us on Sunday 23rd August 2026, from 11:00am–4:00pm, for a fun-filled family day celebrating traditional marshland life, crafts and rural heritage.

The event will feature talks and demonstrations, historic displays and stalls, butter churning, traditional children’s games, and fascinating insights into women’s roles in the 1800s. Meet the Marsh Man, Marsh Lady and Beekeeper, and enjoy delicious refreshments including tea, cakes, goodies and a BBQ.

There’s something for everyone, with plenty to explore and discover about Norfolk’s unique marshland heritage.
